Accounts Senior - Weston-Super-Mare

Up to £32k p.a 

Our client, a top accountancy practice, has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Senior to join their team! 

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in practice who enjoys building strong client relationships, supporting junior colleagues, and working with a variety of businesses. 

The role: 

• Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders 

• Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations and returns 

• Providing bookkeeping and management accounting services 

• Responsible for developing and training junior team members 

• Filing Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs documents on client’s behalf 

• Ensuring that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date 

• Dealing with the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns 

• Comply with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements 

• General admin duties to provide support to the Partners, Directors, Managers and the office. 

Key skills/experience: 

• Experience working as an Accounts Technician, Senior or Semi-Senior in practice 

• Minimum AAT qualified (Association of Accounting Technicians) or qualified by experience 

• Strong background in accounts preparation for limited companies and unincorporated businesses 

• Audit experience is desirable but not essential 

• Outgoing, approachable, and confident when dealing with clients and colleagues 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail 

• Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (and comfortable learning new software quickly)
