HR Advisor
Carmarthen – hybrid (2-3 days in office)
£30K p.a
Our client, a specialist care services company, has an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join their team!
The role:
· You will be responsible for ensuring that HR policies are followed and up to date, including the sickness absence policy, compliance with employment law and supporting employee relations.
· Act as the first point of contact for HR matters, particularly in employee relations, absence management, and retention
· Advise and support managers through disciplinary, grievance, performance, and capability cases in line with legal and policy frameworks
· Offer real-time support during formal meetings and hearings
· Collaborate with the Recruitment and Onboarding Team to enhance the candidate experience
· Ensure HR records are accurately maintained and compliant with GDPR and sector regulations
· Work alongside the Operations Team and Wellbeing Manager to drive engagement and workforce planning initiatives
· Assist in reviewing and developing HR policies to ensure legal and sector alignment
· Prepare insightful HR reports for the Head of Human Resources
· Provide guidance on absence management, including referrals to Occupational Health
· Support line managers with performance management processes
Key skills/ experience:
· At least 1 years’ experience working at a similar level
· Knowledge of Employment Law
· Experience in Employee Relations- sickness absence management and casework in particular
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Certification or degree in Human Resources (CIPD)
