Description:
Our client, an organisation dedicated to helping lower Britain’s carbon emissions, is searching for a modeller to join their team.
Part of the Data & Analytics team, the Modeller reports to the Head of Analytics. The main purpose of the role is to build, maintain and operate various models, data flows and scripts that are used by different areas in the business to forecast, analyse, streamline processes, and generate insights that develop the business strategy.
Description
- Sourcing, cleansing, and maintaining datasets required for modelling purposes.
- Designing and building short- and long-term energy models, used in forecasting,
- Analysis and for generating insights that support various strategic initiatives.
- Supporting other teams with modelling, analysis, and automation.
- Producing high quality technical documentation.
- Identifying and streamlining inefficient processes.
- Testing and deploying updates to the models
Desirables:
- 2:1 equivalent or higher Bachelor/master’s degree in a STEM subject.
- Experience in Python is required.
- Experience in R
- SQL is desirable.
- Experience in modelling
- forecasting and analysis of complex real-life systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- creativity and curiosity.
- Highly flexible when dealing with requests from stakeholders.
- The ability to convey complex technical concepts to those with little or no technical background in a meaningful

- Working knowledge of machine learning tools and statistical techniques is desirable.
