Senior People Advisor/ Partner (6 month FTC)
Remote/ Hybrid – Bristol
Up to £60k p.a
Our client, a growing fin-tech business, has an exciting opportunity for a People Advisor to join their team!
The role:
· This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll make a real difference, leading initiatives that enhance engagement, culture, and growth.
· People Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with managers,
providing guidance and support on all people-related matters. This can include all parts of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, appraisals, maternity, flexible working, sickness leave, progression etc. Advising on policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
· Employee Relations: Support employees and managers in resolving employee
relations matters—including disciplinary actions, grievances, and absence
management—with fairness, empathy, and transparency.
· Employee Engagement & People Projects: Lead initiatives that enhance employee engagement and strengthen workplace culture. Collaborate with employees and teams to develop meaningful people-focused projects, such as Learning & Development, Benefits, and Culture, ensuring they align with organisational needs and foster a positive, supportive work environment.
· Policy & Process Communication: Ensure HR policies and processes are
communicated with clarity and empathy, enabling employees to understand and
navigate them with confidence while maintaining fairness and consistency.
· Culture & Values Alignment: Champion and embed the company’s culture and
values in every People initiative, ensuring employees feel connected, valued, and
aligned with the organisation’s mission.
· Team Contribution: Encourage innovation and collaboration within the People team by bringing fresh ideas and insights that drive continuous improvement and
contribute to a thriving workplace.
Key skills/ experience:
· A people-first HR professional with 3+ years of experience, ideally CIPD Level 5 or higher.
· Skilled in HR policies, employment law, and employee relations, balancing business needs with employee wellbeing.
· Empathetic, approachable, and a natural relationship-builder, fosters trust at all
levels.
· Discreet and professional, handling sensitive matters with care, confidentiality, and integrity.
· Adaptable and hands-on, thriving in a dynamic environment where you can contribute across multiple areas.
· A strong communicator, providing clear, thoughtful guidance to managers and employees.
