The purpose of the HR Advisor is to support in the delivery of the HR Strategy to work in line with the Operational needs of the business offering generalist HR support, coordination and advice to sites and colleagues of all levels, across their region. 

Key accountabilities of the HR Advisor include:   

  • Handle issues and escalated activities (for example, disciplinary action or grievance and employee situations involving research) and TU Agreements within region
  • Ensure policies are in place, compliance with those policies and any employment and other related legislation
  • Provide support to HR Director as needed
  • Support Regional Manager with long term and short term HR requirements
  • Take ownership of the People Plan for the region  Support recruitment and resourcing function for region
  • Co-ordinate the recruitment process for assigned vacancies
  • Support recruiting managers with interviews as needed
  • Keep in regular contact with recruitment team regarding status of assigned vacancies
  • Roll out of new/annual HR programs in conjunction with the Centres of Expertise
  • Resourcing and Leadership/Development   
  • Roll out of policy changes, SOX compliance, communication programmes relating to HR Managing long term and short term sickness absence in region
  • Promoting Health and Wellbeing programmes across the business
  • Completion of transactional work in order to support customers and stakeholders 
  • Project work as defined to proactively support the HR strategy 
  • Provide holiday / sick cover for other RHRA when needed
  • Maintain regular contact with HR team - Attend regular update meetings with other RHRA
  • Regular communication with HR Manager and HR Project Manager Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
  • Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community
  • Applicants must have exceptional organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • They will have excellent interpersonal skills, be selfmotivated, flexible and adaptable.
  • The candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills combined with integrity and confidentiality.
  • They will be required to travel to sites across the UK.   
  • Candidates will have proven HR experience at Advisor level, multi-site, and will have CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.
