Systems Manager (3-month FTC)

Our client, a growing marketing agency has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Manager to join their amazing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure: You’ll manage IT services and infrastructure.
- Reports: You’ll provide regular reports to the Operations Director on the environmental performance, health, and state of the IT infrastructure.
- Assessments: You’ll evaluate assigned projects, assess solutions for technical/business suitability, and present proposals.
- Improvements: You’ll monitor our IT infrastructure and recommend action to improve efficiency, performance, or resolve issues.
- Deployment: You’ll manage deployment and onward software maintenance of workstations, servers and services.
- Security: You’ll implement best-practice security across all IT operations.
- Documentation: You’ll maintain documentation on IT infrastructure and process.
- Support: You’ll aid the IT Support Analyst with first-line support.
- Training: You’ll induct and train staff on IT systems as needed.
- Business resilience: You’ll maximise the availability of IT infrastructure.
- Business continuity: You’ll ensure we have adequate provision and documentation to enact business continuity plans in relation to IT.
- Business compliance: You’ll ensure IT compliance with licensing, auditing and legal requirements, environmental targets and company policies.
- Insights: You’ll identify trends, expenditure and strategy in the
- agency's use of IT services and infrastructure to aid business planning.
- Purchasing: You’ll manage IT purchasing in line with our Local and
- Environmental Purchasing Policy and budget.
Key skills/experience:
- Operating Systems: You’ll have extensive management skills on latest macOS, iOS/iPadOS, Windows, Windows Server and Linux/Unix.
- Scripting: You’ll have competent scripting skills in both macOS and Windows.
- Cloud services: You’ll be competent at managing a heterogenous cloud-based estate of services.
- Third-party services: You’ll be competent at integrating third-party services into Microsoft 365.
- Deployment systems: You’ll have good competency with an MDM-based deployment and management system (ideally Jamf Pro/Intune)
- Hardware: You’ll be familiar with a range of hardware platforms, including Ruckus switches and wireless access points and their cloud-based administration platform; Sophos XG firewall products and Dell servers with MD-series SAN.
- Support ISO accreditation such as Security accreditation (45001) and protocols
- SAAS some knowledge of internal networks/not server as Cloud based
- VPN
- Firewalls
- Network switches
- Security protocols
